This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) its events and website (www.americanmedspa.org), the Medical Spa Show and other affiliated websites. This Privacy notice explains how AmSpa collects, uses, shares and safeguards information on its various websites and apps. It will notify you of the following:

• What personally identifiable information is collected from you by AmSpa, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
• What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
• The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
• How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, web-form, your use of this site, or other direct contact from you. We may share information with Sponsors or Exhibitors of our events to offer products or services that may be of interest to our Members and Attendees. The information shared in this fashion is limited and done under controlled circumstances. AmSpa also shares personal information with affiliated organizations and other trusted businesses or persons to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include data hosting services, packaging, mailing and delivering services, payment processing, customer support and consulting services, and event registration services. We only provide those companies with access to information as is required to deliver the service and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Furthermore we may share information with courts, government entities, or law enforcement to the extent necessary to comply with legal requirements or to protect rights, property, or safety in urgent circumstances.

Changes to Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to update and modify this Notice at any time and for any reason. We will notify you as and how required by law.

Email Newsletter/Membership

During newsletter signup or membership registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest.

Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

Cookies

We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a pieces of code or text placed on your computer by us or third-parties when you browse our site if your web browser preferences are set to allow cookies. Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Any demographic information collected will be aggregated and not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees or affiliates who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. And affiliates and service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

While we take reasonable steps to maintain data security please be aware that no data transmitted over the internet can be completely secure from unauthorized access. So despite our reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of the Personal Data you transmit to us, or to or from our online sites.

Children

This website and our services are not intended for children under the age of 18. As such we do not knowingly market, solicit, or collect any information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that it has inadvertently received personal information from a User under the age of 18, it will delete such personal information from its records.

GDPR Addendum Policy

Scope

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a European Union data protection law, went into effect on May 25, 2018. The following sections outline our GDPR policy. These apply to you if you are an individual located within the European Union (EU) and your personal data is processed in connection with The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa). Personal data means any information that allows you to be directly or indirectly identified, which is in our database for purposes of membership or other transactions with AMSPA or AMSPA-related organizations, including, without limitation, the Medical Spa Show.

Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

Right to be Informed: You have the right to know whether your Personal Data is being processed by us, how we use your Personal Data and your rights in relation to your Personal Data.

Right of access: You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Data held by us about you and to access the information which we hold about you. You can view and edit your personal data within your member profile on americanmedspa.org. You may also request access or copies of your personal data by emailing info@americanmedspa.org.

Right of data portability: You may request us to provide you with your Personal Data which you have given us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and you may request us to transmit your Personal Data directly to another controller where this is technically feasible.

This right only arises where we process your Personal Data on the legal basis of either your consent or where it is necessary to perform our contract with you and the processing is carried out by automated means. Requests should be made by email to info@americanmedspa.org. In order to comply with your request, we may ask you to verify your identity.

Right to rectification: You have the right to have any inaccurate Personal Data which we hold about you updated or corrected. If your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you are entitled to have it rectified or completed. Updates to your personal data can be made through your member profile on americanmedspa.org or by emailing info@americanmedspa.org or by calling 312-981-0993.

Right to erasure: You may ask us to delete or remove your personal data. Requests should be made by email to info@americanmedspa.org. In some situations, deletion of certain personal data may mean that it is no longer possible for you to gain access to certain parts of our site, membership benefits or constituent transactions/activities. We are obligated to preserve transactional data for seven years to adhere to auditing standards and bookkeeping laws.

Right to restrict to processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict processing your Personal Data in certain cases, including if you believe that the Personal Data we hold about you is inaccurate or that our use of your Personal Data is unlawful. If you validly exercise this right, we will store your Personal Data and will not carry out any other processing on it until the issue is resolved. Requests should be made by email to info@americanmedspa.org.

Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent from the processing of your personal data at any time. In some situations, withdrawal of certain consent data may mean that it is no longer possible for you to gain access to certain parts of our site, membership benefits or constituent transactions/activities. Requests should be made to info@americanmedspa.org.

• By registering and attending an AmSpa event, you acknowledge that there is an unknown risk of exposure to COVID-19 through potential contact with contaminated objects, as well as through personal contact. Such exposure carries with it a certain degree of risk that could result in illness, disability, or death. Although AmSpa has adopted appropriate and reasonable policies and measures in an attempt to mitigate this risk, the registrant/attendee understands that no level of precaution can entirely remove such risk. You agree to release and hold harmless AmSpa, its employees, officers, shareholders and vendors from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from any exposure related to COVID-19. Registrants/attendees also warrant they are abiding by all applicable state and local laws and recommendations currently in place regarding COVID-19.
• All registration fees are in U.S. dollars. Registrations will NOT be processed without full payment.
• No refunds; all sales are final. In cases of emergency (as determined by AmSpa) that prevent you from attending the event, your AmSpa account can be credited the amount of your registration. This credit can be used toward any future AmSpa hosted event within one year of the date of the original registered event. Cancellation made less than 10 days prior to the event will be subject to a $150 fee per registrant. In the event AmSpa cancels the Medical Spa Show or experiences a force majeure event beyond AmSpa’s control that prohibits the event from taking place in any fashion, AmSpa may, at their sole discretion issue refunds or credits to all attendees.
• No strollers or wheeled carts permitted on exhibit hall floor.
• The Medical Spa Show shall have sole control over admission policies at all times.
• Attendees, who in the opinion of Event Management, conduct themselves unethically to anyone involved in the event including, but not limited to, AmSpa, Wynn, Freeman, Entertainment Production Services, Registration Personnel, Security, etc. may be immediately dismissed from The Medical Spa Show or Wynn Las Vegas without refund or other appeal.
• In order to qualify for additional team member pricing, additional team members must work for the same company.
• Only one promo code may be used for each transaction. Promo codes will not apply for additional team members, only the primary registrant.
• All participants must be registered and have a badge for admittance to any Medical Spa Show event, including but not limited to, the opening night event and members only gala reception. All badges can be picked up on-site.
• No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to the event. As per United States law, anyone under 21 under will not be allowed to consume alcohol.
• Class selections, expo hall times, lunch times and general session reservations are on a first come, first served basis. You may switch between sessions at any time during the event without updating your registration as long as a session is not over capacity. If a session reaches capacity and you are not registered, you will not be allowed to attend.
• Solicitation Information: Unauthorized solicitation (suitcasing/outboarding) of or marketing to exhibiting companies is strictly prohibited.
• Selling activities and distribution of literature, samples and marketing materials are permitted only within the booth space of officially contracted exhibitors.
• Attendees are expected to respect the copyright, patent right and trademark right of fellow attendees, speakers and sponsors. Violators may be subject to sanctions by Show Management.
• Consent for Use of Photographic Images: Registration and attendance at or participation in the Medical Spa Show constitutes an agreement by the registrant to consent to the use of quotes, and the taking of photographs, movies or videos, and grant AmSpa the right to edit, use, and reuse said products for marketing purposes including use in print, on the internet, and all other forms of media.
• Photography and videography of the Medical Spa Show is strictly prohibited. A professional photographer will capture the event.
• All exhibitors, sessions, speakers and times subject to change without notice.
• CME certificates will be e-mailed to the email address that you have registered post-event. Be sure the proper email address is entered above to ensure your certificate is received.
• Unless you request otherwise, the Medical Spa Show and/or American Med Spa Association, may contact you with promotions via e-mail, direct mail and/or telephone. If you do not wish to receive communications, contact info@americanmedspa.org. The Medical Spa Show will not use or transfer personally identifiable information provided to it in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you with an opportunity to opt out of these unrelated uses.
• By Registering for the Medical Spa Show, I agree to receive email updates regarding the 2023 event and am aware of the privacy policy found at www.medicalspashow.com/privacy-policy. I can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
• If you are registered for AIA Advanced Cadaver Course, Ultrasound Fundamentals or Energy Device Master Class: The techniques and procedures contained in these trainings may not be FDA approved use and may be considered “off label”. Additionally these treatments carry risks of serious complications even when performed correctly. While the goal of these trainings is to provide you with information in safely performing these procedures the information in this presentation alone does not authorize, certify, or confer the ability of anyone to perform these treatments, nor does it change any person’s professional scope of practice. Training and education requirements as well as the legal ability to perform treatments differs for each professional license level in every state. Therefore, it is each attendees’ responsibility to examine their individual professional situation, skill level, and scope of practice before choosing to 1) attend this training, and 2) perform or implement any of the techniques or procedures covered in this course.

Attendees will abide by the below COVID-19 Medical Spa Show Attendee Information and Requirements. If you choose not to follow the commitment, AmSpa has the authority to dismiss the attendee without refund or other appeal.

• While there are no mask requirements for attendees, we ask that you please continue to follow CDC guidelines to protect our medical aesthetic community.
• Do not attend the event if you are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19.
• If you are at an increased risk for severe illness or live with or spend time with someone at higher risk, consider wearing a mask during our event.
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
• Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
