Christopher C. Surek, DO, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and internationally recognized facial anatomist. He is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy at Kansas City University and Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Surek specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body as well as non-invasive facial rejuvenation procedures. He has co-authored several book chapters and published original research in facial cosmetic surgery, facial anatomy and filler injections. Dr. Surek is also the co-author of two textbooks: “Facial Volumization: An Anatomic Approach,” an anatomy-based textbook for filler injections and “Atlas of Anatomy and Ultrasound,” a layered journey through facial anatomy for the injector combined with ultrasound utilization in facial injectables. Dr. Surek teaches cadaver-based facial anatomy courses on facelift surgery, eyelid surgery and filler injection techniques nationally and internationally. He is the founder and course chairman for the Academy for Injection Anatomy, an interactive hands-on cadaver injection anatomy course which was acquired by the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa).
