Saami Khalifian

Saami Khalifian, MD, FAAD, is a double board-certified cosmetic dermatologist specializing in minimally invasive aesthetic procedures and cosmetic surgery with specialized training in dermatologic surgery and facial plastics. He serves as the Executive Medical Director of AMI Training Centers across all sites, a clinical investigator, consultant, trainer, and speaker for Allergan Aesthetics. He has a deep scientific background in cutaneous immunology, clinical trials, and curricular development. Dr. Khalifian received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins and completed his dermatology residency at Harvard before moving to San Diego to specialize in aesthetics. He is the founder of non-profit organization "Proof of Life Foundation" which serves the survivors of violence to treat their scars and injuries allowing them to reclaim their identity. His basic and translational research focus is on cutaneous immunology, previously to minimize immunosuppression for hand and face transplants, and now with a focus on clinical trials for injectable fillers, toxins, and energy-based devices.
