Shakira Cabrera

Shakira Cabrera, PA-C, founder and visionary behind Jules Aesthetic and Wellness, blends science, artistry, and human connection to redefine aesthetic medicine. She earned her master’s in physician assistant studies and bachelor’s in health care science from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2006, beginning her career in cardiology, neurology, and hospital medicine before transitioning into surgical care. In 2012, she joined Brooke Army Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, working within the trauma and plastic surgery department. There, she gained extensive experience assisting in complex reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, which ignited her passion for restoration and transformation. In 2015, Cabrera founded her own Surgical First Assist company, collaborating with leading plastic surgeons across San Antonio. While she loved the technical precision of surgery, she sought deeper, long-term patient relationships. That calling led her into aesthetic medicine in 2018, where she founded Jules Aesthetic and Wellness. Cabrera has trained with internationally recognized aesthetic leaders and now educates injectors across Texas. She is known for her commitment to safety, innovation, and results that feel natural and confidence-building. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, salsa dancing, and spending time with her family. For Cabrera, aesthetics is not simply a profession. It is a lifelong calling to help others feel empowered and confident in their own skin.
